CURR 4351 - Planning, Curriculum, and Assessment in Elementary Schools

To be taken the semester before clinical teaching or internship. This course will emphasize development of planning skills, such as creating goals, objectives, lesson plans, and modifying them for special populations in elementary schools; elementary curricula and their organization; methods of teaching ; planning lessons that stress higher order thinking skills for elementary students; and the creation and evaluation of assessment instruments. Offered in an on-line and face to face format. (Required for EC-6 certification)

Prerequisites: CURR 3301 , CURR 3302 , and student must be in good standing in the Teacher Education Program.
Corequisites: Concurrent enrollment in CURR 4350 .
