An upper level elective for majors, minors, teaching field students, and students interested in creative writing. A study in the principles of dramatic construction and practice in the writing of one- act and full length plays. Emphasis is placed on process and skills development in playwriting as well as analysis of the structures of some of the great works of dramatic literature.
