CRIM 3385 - Crime and PunishmentUG

This course is an advanced elective for criminology majors and minors. This course deals with the punishment phase after criminal behavior has been determined to have occurred. Particular attention is given to sentencing guidelines and correctional practices. On a more theoretical level, this offering examines the effectiveness of punishment concerning deterrence, retribution, confinement, and rehabilitation.
Prerequisites: CRIM 1315 , CRIM 2315 and SOCI 1310 .
